Outstanding fines

Not paying your fine could result in:

  • Additional court and administrative costs
  • Licence suspension
  • Licence plate denial
  • Referred to third party collection agencies
  • Legal action
  • Adding delinquent fines to property tax roll

If you can't renew your licence plate due to an outstanding fine, pay the fine at the Niagara Region Provincial Offences Courthouse.

If your outstanding fine is a parking offence, contact the city or town in which you received the parking offence.

In both situations, you can also pay the fine at any Service Ontario location.

If your licence is suspended, contact the Niagara Region Provincial Offences Courthouse to determine if there are any outstanding fines. Fines suspending your licence must be paid in full.

You may pay the applicable fine and reinstatement fee at a Service Ontario location. You will then be able to reinstate your driver's licence the same day if there are no other outstanding requirements or restrictions.

If you are certain that you have no outstanding fines, but your licence is suspended, contact the Ministry of Transportation, Driver Control at 1-800-303-4993.

Parking tickets

The Niagara Region Provincial Offences Courthouse does not handle parking tickets. Parking tickets must be paid at the city or town that issued the ticket.
