Who we are

Who we are

Niagara Region is a Regional municipality that provides services essential to the day-to-day life of Niagara residents, from clean water, roads and waste collection to public safety, housing and more.

Geographically, our region is as diverse as the municipal services that sustain it, and is home to communities rich in both character and history, including Fort Erie, Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Thorold, Wainfleet, Welland and West Lincoln.

With a population of 539,180 and growing, Niagara is one of Ontario's most dynamic regions. We're on track to welcome 694,000 residents by 2051 — a reflection of the quality of life, opportunity and sense of community that makes Niagara a place people want to call home.
