Are you a non-profit or co-operative housing provider interested in growing your affordable housing operations? Whether you're just starting to explore an idea or you're close to breaking ground, we want to hear from you.

Help us build more affordable housing in Niagara

We're looking for non-profit housing projects that will create 10 or more new affordable units in Niagara. Tell us about your project, and we'll work with you on next steps, from early planning to preparing for federal, provincial and other funding opportunities.

Responding to an expression of interest isn't a bid or a commitment. It helps us understand what's being planned in Niagara so we can support providers as opportunities come up.

Preliminary project visioning

For providers with an idea for a new project, plans to expand or add units at an existing site, or an interest in starting affordable housing operations in Niagara.

What happens next: We'll follow up in early 2027 to talk through your vision and offer guidance on next steps, such as building a project team, budgeting and funding options.

Project readiness and support for funding

For affordable rental projects that have, or are close to having, all approvals needed to start construction, including site plan approval and a building permit. You'll need capital and operating budgets.

What happens next: We'll share feedback and help you identify and prepare for funding programs that fit your project.
