  • It is recommended that fee payments be made every two weeks

Families are responsible for payment for scheduled days when their child is:

Home Child Care families do not need to pay fees when the home is closed before  childcare starts, including closures due to illness, vacation, or other circumstances.

If your Provider has a planned absence, your Home Child Care Advisor will try to help arrange back‑up care if available. Providers must give advance notice of planned time off.

If the centre does not open at all for the day due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, regular daily fees will not apply.

Home child care providers

Home child care providers will notify families directly about any closure at their home child care location.

In certain circumstances, such as emergencies, the Niagara Region Home Child Care Program may also notify families about home child care closures.
