Project overview
The Victoria Avenue Sewage Pumping Station is owned and run by Niagara Region and is located at 3450 QEW South Service Rd. in Lincoln. It services an area of about 495 hectares for nearby residents and businesses.
The station was built in 1978 and underwent significant upgrades in 2014. A capacity upgrade is now needed to support local growth. During the 2014 upgrade, 1.8 kilometres of forcemain was replaced to meet the current demand. The remaining 3.8 kilometres now need replacement.
Construction will include a 3.8 kilometre long forcemain replacement along the QEW South Service Road. This will run from near Maple Grove Road to Bartlett Road.
The scope of work includes:
- 3.8 kilometres of new forcemain
- Repair of the creekbank gabion wall
- A new linear hydrogen sulphide monitor
- A new overflow monitoring device
Project update
Construction of the new sewage pumping station and sanitary forcemain will begin in July 2026 and continue through winter 2026. Work along the forcemain route will affect traffic during construction. Lane closures and delays are expected. Portable temporary traffic signals will be used to manage traffic. To help reduce disruptions, construction will be completed in sections.
This work supports local growth and development. For details on Town of Lincoln's Prudhommes Landing development, see Prudhommes Watermain Upgrades Project.
Project updates will be shared with stakeholders and the public online and by mail.
