Project overview

Niagara Region owns the Arena Sewage Pumping Station at 52 West Side Rd. in Port Colborne. The station and forcemain were constructed in 1973. The 2016 Water and Wastewater Master Servicing Plan predicts growth in the catchment area. There are concerns about the station's age, poor conditions and rising maintenance costs. The station needs sustainability upgrades.

Upgrades will be made to the:

  • Pumps
  • Meters
  • Valves
  • Electrical
  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning
  • Generator
  • New wet well
