Fares Street Sewage Pumping Station and Forcemain

Niagara Region owns and operates the Fares Street Sewage Pumping Station at 419 Fares St. in Port Colborne. This station was constructed in the 1930s and was later reconstructed in 1974. The property also has a structure built in 1974 that houses a standby power generator. The Fares Street Pumping Station needs a sustainability upgrade. There are 25 metres of original cast iron forcemain to replace.
