Removing ticks

Store the tick in a clear, dry container or in a double resealable plastic bag.

Tick identification

Review the types of ticks in Niagara.

Ticks should be brought by the patient to Public Health for identification. The patient will be asked to fill out a tick submission form when they drop off the tick.

Once the tick has been identified by Public Health, the patient will be notified by either a Public Health inspector or a registered nurse.
