Physician opportunities

Niagara is home to the Niagara Campus of McMaster University Degroote School of Medicine and offers a variety of teaching opportunities.

Niagara is still classified as an underserviced community and qualifies for a Return of Service Contract through the Ministry of Health for the International Medical Graduates Post Graduate Program.

Many of the municipalities in Niagara are listed as High Physician Need and are actively recruiting into all types of models.

Locum program

Niagara Physician Recruitment also offers a Locum Program for family physicians. Locum duration ranges from one to two weeks and six to 12 months. For a list of active locum positions and job opportunities in Niagara, visit Health Force Ontario.

To be considered for any opportunities in Ontario you must be licensed through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario or eligible for your licence. Visit their website for a list of accredited international medical schools and other requirements.

As we work with physicians for one to two years prior to retirement, it's important to contact us as early as possible.
