Community Outreach

  • Attend community events and share knowledge on various health topics, including skin cancer prevention / sun safety, smoke free outdoor spaces and concussion awareness
  • Complement existing professionals and programs at Niagara Region
  • Meet people and have fun
  • Minimum 10 hours commitment

Community Outreach Lead
Application deadline: Monday, April 24, 2017

As the Community Outreach Lead Volunteer, you will work with Niagara Region Public Health to promote health-related topic areas which may include sun safety, concussion awareness and smoke-free outdoor spaces.

You will be a point of contact at event locations for volunteers and the general public. You will be a leader to the Community Outreach Volunteers and be responsible for the set up and take down of the Community Outreach booth.

Applicants must have:

  • Access to a vehicle with proper insurance and sufficient space for transporting materials to and from event locations
  • Previous volunteer experience
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Availability to volunteer from June - September 2017
