These resources teach students about the risks associated with sexual activity, including sexually transmitted infections, sexually transmitted blood-borne infections and unplanned pregnancy.
Learning goals

Ontario curriculum expectations
Grades 1-8: Health and Physical Education (2019)
- D1.4 identify sexually transmitted infections and sexually transmitted blood-borne infections and describe their symptoms.
- D1.5 identify ways of preventing sexually transmitted blood-borne infections and unplanned pregnancy. This includes delaying first intercourse and other sexual activities until a person is older and using condoms and other forms of protection consistently. This specific expectation is also connected to the social-emotional learning expectations A1.2 Coping, 1.4 Relationships and 1.5 Self.

What's the risk?
Using questions related to sexually transmitted infections, students will try to determine the risk(s) of the sexual health-related activities.
Don't pass it on
This activity has two parts. The first part is a review of sexually transmitted infections with four questions. The second part is an interactive activity where students will build a better understanding of infections and how to prevent or avoid them.
