Road closure for Fourth Avenue (Regional Road 77) in Lincoln
May 19 to Sept. 19, 2026
Fourth Avenue (Regional Road 77) at Sixteen Mile Creek will be closed to through traffic from May 19 to Sept. 19, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure is needed to safely carry out slope stabilization at Sixteen Mile Creek.
Due to the nature of the work, crews and heavy equipment require full access to the roadway and surrounding slopes. The road cannot remain open during construction because of space limitations and safety requirements for workers and the public.
Detour
Eastbound traffic:
- South on Jordan Road (Regional Road 26) > east on King Street (Regional Road 81) > north on Seventh Street Louth (Regional Road 34)
Westbound traffic:
- South on Seventh Street Louth (Regional Road 34) > west on King Street (Regional Road 81) > north on Jordan Road (Regional Road 26)
This is a full road closure. Access across Sixteen Mile Creek on Fourth Avenue will not be available for residents, businesses or emergency services. All traffic must use the posted detour routes to reach destinations on either side of the closure.
Businesses in the area will remain open and accessible using the detour routes.
