Notice of proposed amendment to the 2026 Niagara Regional Capital Budget
At its meeting being held on Thursday, March 26, Niagara Regional Council will consider a budget amendment that will transfer $9,670,550 from the Wastewater Capital Reserve to fund the Region’s share of costs for the Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant Primary Treatment Upgrades capital project.

Approval of this amendment will not affect the Niagara Region wastewater requisition for 2026. As such, the cities / towns will not see a change associated with the Niagara Region wastewater requisition charged in 2026.
