Road closure update for Ontario Street (Regional Road 42) in St. Catharines
Monday, May 6 to Friday, Aug. 2
Ontario Street (Regional Road 42) from Linwell Road to Lakeport Road in St. Catharines will reopen to one-way northbound traffic, weather permitting.
The southbound lane will remain closed to traffic and will continue to use the detour in place. These arrangements will be in place until Aug. 2.
The changes to the lane closure are to complete the construction behind the new curb (sidewalks, landscaping and restoration etc.) in the area. This work is part of the Ontario Street (Regional Road 42) reconstruction project.
Detour
- Access to Ontario Street (southbound): Right on Lakeport Road > Right on Linwell Road
Businesses will remain open at all times.
Emergency services will have access through the detour routes.
