Notice to residents: Quaker Road sanitary trunk sewer upgrade in Welland and Pelham
The Quaker Road Sanitary Trunk Sewer Upgrade project is moving into the next phase of construction to install a new sanitary sewer.
The intersection of Quaker Road and Montgomery Road will be fully closed beginning Thursday, Sept. 17 to late November.
During the closure, traffic will not be allowed through the intersection. Emergency access will also be limited outside of working hours. Local access will be available through the following routes:
Detours and local access routes
- Quaker Road residents between Rice Road and Montgomery Road: Local access will remain available from Rice Road onto Quaker Road
- Montgomery Road / Summerlea Avenue residents: Residents can access the area through the temporary entrance at Summerlea Avenue and Line Avenue
- Nouvel Horizon School: All school traffic must use Line Avenue and Clare Avenue to access Quaker Road
