Notice of pre-construction Public Information Centre for Casablanca Boulevard in Grimsby

Reconstruction of Casablanca Boulevard (Regional Road 10) from North Service Road (Regional Road 39) to Livingston Avenue (Regional Road 512) in Grimsby, Contract No. 2026-T-70
 
Niagara Region completed a Schedule “C” Municipal Class Environmental Assessment in 2019 and is now proceeding to implement the road improvements.
 
Public Information Centre
  • Two-week period starting Monday, Sept. 7
  • Online
The Public Information Centre will inform the public of the planned construction, including:
  • Reconstruction of Casablanca Boulevard from North Service Road to Livingston Avenue
  • A new multi-use path on the west side of Casablanca Boulevard from South Service Road to North Service Road
  • Realigned QEW on and off ramps, including traffic signals at each ramp
  • Additional lanes along Casablanca Boulevard for more capacity from North Service Road to Livingston Avenue
  • New asphalt on Casablanca Boulevard from North Service Road to South Service Road
  • Reconstruction and widening of the South Service Road from Casablanca Boulevard to Industrial Drive
  • Upgraded traffic signal at North Service Road and South Service Road
  • New traffic signal at Casablanca Boulevard and Livingston Avenue
  • Complete road reconstruction, including curb and gutter, and widening to five lanes on Casablanca Boulevard from Livingston Avenue to the South Service Road
  • New watermain on Casablanca Boulevard
  • Road reconstruction of Livingston Avenue to a three-lane cross section including curb and gutter from Casablanca Boulevard to approximately 350 metres to the west
  • New storm sewer and watermain replacement on Livingston Avenue from Casablanca Boulevard to approximately 350 metres to the west
  • Upgraded roadway lighting
  • Landscaping and restoration
