Road closure for West Main Street / East Main Street (Regional Road 27) and King Street (Regional Road 68) in Welland

Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026 from 9 a.m. to midnight
 
West Main Street / East Main Street (Regional Road 27) between Niagara Street (Regional Road 50) and Cross Street, and King Street (Regional Road 68) between West Main Street / East Main Street and Division Street (Regional Road 527) will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to midnight, weather permitting.
 
The closure is for the Bridge XIII Music Festival.
 
Detour
  • Westbound: East Main Street > Hellems Avenue > Lincoln Street > Prince Charles Drive (Regional Road 54) > West Main Street
  • Eastbound: Prince Charles Drive (Regional Road 54) > Lincoln Street > King Street > Division Street > East Main Street
Businesses and residents will have access during the closure but may be directed to take an alternate route to get to their destination.
 
Emergency services will not have through access during the event.
