Notice of pre-construction Public Information Centre for McLeod Road in Niagara Falls
Reconstruction of Regional Road 49 (McLeod Road) from Oakwood Drive to Wilson Crescent in the City of Niagara Falls - Contract No. 2025-T-189
Niagara Region completed a Schedule “C” Municipal Class Environmental Assessment in 2011 and is now proceeding with the Third Phase of construction. A Public Information Centre is being held to address the upcoming road reconstruction and community improvements starting later in 2026.

- MacBain Community Centre at 7150 Montrose Rd., Niagara Falls
The Public Information Centre will inform the public of the planned construction, including:
- Reconstruction of McLeod Road (Regional Road 49) from Oakwood Drive to Wilson Crescent
- New sidewalks and multi-use paths
- New curb and gutter
- Upgraded traffic signal at Dorchester Road and McLeod Road
- New traffic signal at Jubilee Drive and Sharon Avenue
- New storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain
- Utility relocations
- New retaining wall over the Hydro Canal
- Upgraded roadway lighting
- Landscaping and restoration
