While there is no current legal requirement for the development, implementation, and accreditation of a Wastewater Quality Management System, Niagara Region is being proactive in developing and implementing this. This demonstrates our due diligence and our commitments to effective wastewater treatment and environmental stewardship.
A Water Quality Management System is required under the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002 for drinking water treatment systems.
