Homelessness Prevention Programs
Niagara Region funds homelessness prevention services that help individuals and families keep a safe and appropriate place to live, and avoid becoming homeless.
Prevention services include:
- Landlord and tenant education supports
- Referral to community legal services when facing eviction
- Problem solving, mediation and conflict resolution
- Energy and utility assistance
- Coordination with financial and employment supports
- Support with money management (Targeted Voluntary Trusteeship)
- Help finding new housing options
