Five year old Nicolas is obsessed with garbage, recycling and composting. A Senior Kindergarten student by day, he gave a speech to his fellow students this year on garbage and recycling. At home, Nicolas often helps his parents collect their garbage, recycling and organics from their house and takes it out to the curb. He gives his parents reminders of what can and cannot be recycled or composted. He also helps his parents and neighbours bring in their recycling bins when he gets home from school at lunchtime. On his superhero adventures to the park and other public places, he often will pick up garbage on the ground and throw it in a garbage can or recycle it. Nicolas leads by example and has what it takes to be a Waste Diversion Hero. |
