The newly formed, industry-funded WEEE recycling program allows the Niagara Region to expand their electronics recycling program to include more drop-off depots. The depots only accept products from residents - businesses may not use this program.
As of the end of July 2009, the Region had collected more than 115 tonnes of electronics.
Do What You Can is a website designed to help you find places to drop-off hazardous and special wastes and outdated electronics that can't be put in your Blue Box and should not go in the garbage.
Visit Do What You Can for a list of local retailers that accept old electronics for recycling. If you have electronics still in good working order - donate it for reuse.
