On March 24, 2010, a public meeting was held, under the Planning Act, to inform the public and recieve feedback on Regional Policy Plan Amendment 7-2009, Niagara Falls World of Motorsports.
Read the background information report on the proposed Regional Policy Plan Amendment 7-2009. Comments on this report were accepted until April 30, 2010.
Note: If a person or public body does not make oral or make written submissions at a public meeting to the Regional Municipality of Niagara before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, they are not entitled to appeal the decision of the Regional Council to the Ontario Municipal Board and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
Once staff completes the review of the proposed development, a report will be prepared for Regional Council. This report should be posted within the next few months.
