H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Immunization Clinics

H1N1 and seasonal flu immunization clinics offered through Niagara Region Public Health are held at the main Public Health office in Thorold, and at each of the branch offices located in Niagara Falls, Welland, and Fort Erie.

An Appointment is Required to Receive your Flu Shot

To receive your H1N1/Seasonal Flu shot you are required to make an appointment. Those arriving without an appointment (walk-in’s) will not be turned away, however, a wait-time should be expected.

Please call 905-688-8248 or 1-888-505-6074 ext. 7425 to inquire about clinic dates, times and to schedule an appointment at the clinic nearest you.

  • Bring your Ontario Health Card and Driver's Licence. Services will still be provided if you do not have either piece of identification.

Facts About the H1N1 Vaccine and Seasonal Flu Vaccine

The H1N1 flu vaccine and the seasonal flu vaccine are available to all Niagara residents 6 months of age and older. Both vaccines can be given at the same time.

Other ways to get the H1N1 and/or Seasonal Flu Vaccine

The H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines are offered at some physicians' offices and community health care clinics/walk-in clinics. Please contact your physician or local community health care clinic/walk-in clinic for more information.

The community health care clinics listed below offer the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines. These clinics are open to the public everyday. Please note that these clinics are not operated by Niagara Region Public Health, therefore, if you have any questions you will need to contact the community health care clinic directly.

Patients are asked to pre-register online before going to the clinic.

Important Information for Parents Regarding H1N1 Flu Vaccine Dosage for Children Under 10 Years of Age.

6 months to under 10 years Has immune compromising condition Should receive second dose, check with doctor/health care provider
6 months to under 10 years Healthy – no immune compromising condition No second dose required

For more information about H1N1 and seasonal flu immunization clinics or the influenza virus, call 905-688-8248 ext. 7950 or 1-888-505-6074, ext. 7950. When you call this line:

  1. Listen carefully to the options so your call can be directed properly.
  2. Once you pick an option, you can speak directly to a Public Health staff member from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If all lines are busy, leave a voice message and your call will be returned.
  3. Outside of these hours, leave a voice message and your call will be returned the next business day.
