Homelessness Prevention Programs

Niagara Region funds homelessness prevention services that help individuals and families keep a safe and appropriate place to live, and avoid becoming homeless.

Prevention services include:

  • Landlord and tenant education supports
  • Referral to community legal services when facing eviction
  • Problem solving, mediation and conflict resolution
  • Energy and utility assistance
  • Coordination with financial and employment supports
  • Support with money management (Targeted Voluntary Trusteeship)
  • Help finding new housing options
