Volunteer Board Member Application
Niagara Region Housing Services is looking for volunteers to serve temporarily on a Board of Directors for a Housing Provider.
Volunteers who are appointed will serve for a term of up to two years on a board that is seeking support.
What's involved
As a board member, you will:
- Serve on the board of a housing provider community
- Attend regular board meetings (frequency to be determined)
- Provide guidance and oversight to support governance, operations and community well-being
- Collaborate with other directors, Housing Services staff and housing professionals
What we're looking for
We're looking for individuals with knowledge, experience or interest in:
- Social housing management, community-based programs or housing development
- Serving on a board
- Non-profit or co-operative governance, principles and values
- Finance or property management
- Conflict resolution or community engagement
