Housing-Focused Emergency Shelters in Niagara
Niagara Region funds emergency shelters to provide temporary support for individuals experiencing homelessness while they find suitable housing. The goal is to have the experience with homelessness be as short as possible and not happen again.
Eligibility
Housing-focused shelters are designed for individuals and families who are without another safe and suitable place to stay.
If you're at risk of losing your housing, call 211 to get connected with a local prevention agency for support before going to a shelter.

Call 211 to connect with a local shelter. If all shelter beds are full, ask to be connected with Niagara Assertive Street Outreach for more support.
Temporary housing shelter
A temporary housing-focused shelter is located at 29 Riordon St. in St. Catharines. This shelter provides a safe place for those in need while a permanent location is established.
