Sustainable Niagara is a community-owned plan. It will take everyone working together to reach the vision and eight goals in the plan.

Become a Partner

Sustainable Niagara is currently looking for organizations and individuals to become partners in implementing the action plan.

There are four ways in which you can become a partner:

1. Participating Partners

These partners make a commitment to the following:

  • Identify actions they are already doing that support the vision and goals of Sustainable Niagara in the online Action Bank
  • Measure their progress
  • Provide updates annually on their progress

2. Priority Action Partners

These partners make a commitment to the following:

  • To fulfill the commitments of a participating partner
  • To give a specific focus on one or more of the priority action areas

3. Leaders

These partners make a commitment to the following:

  • Support the vision of Sustainable Niagara through a municipal resolution of council, a band council resolution, a board of directors resolution, or a policy or similar
  • Include the actions that their organization is already taking in the Online Action Bank
  • Integrate Sustainable Niagara into their operations
  • Assist Sustainable Niagara by providing guidance, direction and support where possible

4. Individuals

Individuals can commit to being sustainable by doing the following:

  • Measure their progress
  • Provide updates annually on their progress
  • Submit a letter of commitment identifying actions they are already doing that support the vision and goals of Sustainable Niagara

Submitting a Letter of Commitment

To become a partner you need to submit a letter outlining your commitment to Sustainable Niagara under one of these four categories.
