Regional Chair Peter PartingtonRegional Chairman's Emergency Preparedness Message

Niagara Region has a long-standing commitment to ensuring an effective and highly coordinated response to any major emergency that could threaten our residents and visitors. The Region’s Emergency Management Program is managed by dedicated emergency management professionals who demonstrate an integrated approach to community preparedness.

While the Region is well prepared to deal with an emergency, every community's level of preparedness starts with the individual. After all, the best way to deal with any risk is knowing how to protect yourself and your family. I encourage you to take a few basic steps to help you take care of yourself and your loved ones during an emergency: know the risks, make a plan and get an emergency kit. Learn how quick and easy it is to become better prepared to face a range of emergencies - anytime, anywhere.
