Regional Councillor Barbara Greenwood is serving her first term on Regional Council. Her political career began in December, 2006.
Councillor Greenwood has worked as a Constituency Assistant for MPP Bart Maves. She also worked as Senior Constituency Assistant for MP Rob Nicholson.
She is very involved with her community. In 2004 she parachuted for the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara and raised $13,000.00. She was security Chairperson for the LPGA in 2004, and Chairperson for the Ontario Scott Tournament of Hearts in 1999. She has received the Misty Award for Hospitality in 1999 along with several awards for volunteerism.
Councillor Greenwood currently serves on the Corporate Services Committee and the Public Health and Social Services Committee. She also serves on the Property Assessment and Taxation Reform Committee (PATR), and the Smarter Niagara Steering Committee. She also represents council on the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and is Chairperson for the Niagara South Watershed Plan.
