Bicycling in Niagara (test)

The Niagara region has a wide selection of bicycling routes and paths available to Cycling enthusiasts. Whether you're looking for a relaxing ride along the scenic Welland Canals Trail or a vigorous excursion through one of our off-road routes, Niagara offers something for everyone.

The Regional Niagara Bicycling Committee plays a useful, active role in providing input on a wide range of topics and issues related to bicycling in Niagara.

Ride of Silence - Will not be quiet
On May 20, 2009, at 7:00 PM, cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession for the Ride of Silence™. Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max.20 kph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves. More >>

Bicycle Safety Clinic
Hosted by the Trails & Bikeways Committee in Niagara Falls, The Bicycle Safety Clinic will include a bicycle safety rodeo, a helmet check and a bicycle tune-up station. We are partnering with the YMCA and their 150th anniversary activities at the MacBain Community Centre. Goodie bags for the first 100 children after they have completed the Bicycle Safety Clinic.
