How we measure this data
As outlined by Municipal Benchmarking Network Canada with oversight from Niagara Region Corporate Services, Financial Management and Planning.
Progress and advancements
The 2020 target of 74.7 per cent is based on the 2019 median performance of the fifteen municipalities included in the Municipal Benchmark Network Canada survey. In 2023, the region met and exceeded that target with 81.1% of invoices being paid within 30 days.
