About Purchasing Services

Purchasing Services reports to the Treasurer/Director in the Corporate Services Department. The centralized purchasing function is administered by Purchasing Services.

Providing best value to our taxpayers

With due regard for price, quality, service and delivery, Purchasing Services solicits pricing on a variety of items including, but not limited to, consumable products, services, rentals, consulting, construction, renovations, printing and equipment.

Purchasing Services operates on the premise that a competitive market exists to provide best value goods and services to benefit the Region and its taxpayers.

Meeting with purchasing agents

Sales representatives are welcome during the office hours.

It is recommended to call ahead and book an appointment with a purchasing agent so that both your time and the purchasing agent's time can be more efficiently utilized.

Memberships in industry groups

To seek opportunities for improved pricing, standardization and avoid redundancy, the Region is an active member of the Niagara Public Purchasing Co-operative Group.

Purchasing Services maintains memberships in several industry associations to maintain and promote simplified standards and specifications and keep pace with changing market conditions.
