Official Symbols of Niagara Region

Coat of Arms

Official Coat of Arms for Niagara Region The Coat of Arms was developed through the offices of the Chief Herald of Canada and authorized by Queen Elizabeth II.

It was unveiled on October 21, 1995 at a re-enactment of the inaugural meeting of Regional Council.

Logo

Official Logo of Niagara Region The Regional Logo characterizes our geographic area. The blue represents the Welland Canal and Niagara River. The green signifies the land area, including agricultural, environmental, growth and development.

Tartan

Niagara Region Tartan The Regional Tartan was unveiled on May 12, 2007.

The tartan colours were adapted from the Regional Coat of Arms and Niagara Regional Police crest.
