Local Government in Niagara

Niagara Region has introduced a new section 'About Local Government' for elementary and secondary school children in Niagara region.

Learning about local government can open the door to many different educational opportunities for youth and children. These learning opportunities can help them develop knowledge and skills in many different subject areas.

Teachers can either download sections below or Order a Free Information Kit Online for their classroom.

The information included in these sections are modified from the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario resources for elementary and secondary school teachers across Ontario.
