Humberstone Landfill Project Process

The purpose of the Environmental Assessment was to identify alternatives and study the potential effect of the proposed landfill expansion on the environment.

Review Process and Decision Completion of Ministry of Environment and Climate Change review July to August 2015
Public inspection of Ministry of Environment and Climate Change review Aug. 28 to Oct 2, 2015
Minister of Environment and Climate Change approval of the Environmental Assessment Report May 4, 2016

Once the required approval under the Environmental Protection Act and Water Resources Act is obtained, the landfill expansion will commence.
