Garbage
Place broken toys in the garbage. Toys are not recyclable as they are often made from multiple types of materials. This item is not to be placed in the Blue Box as it is not rigid plastic packaging or a plastic container.
Children's Toys (Large)
Garbage, Large Item Pick-up
Place in the garbage. If the item is too large to fit into a garbage bag or garbage can, schedule a large item pick-up. Pick-ups must be booked at least 2 days before your regular collection day.
Rigid Plastic Toys and Household Items

Recycle at select Niagara Region Drop-off Depots. View our landfill locations to find sites which accept large rigid household plastics for recycling free of charge. If you are not able to bring the item to a Drop-off Depot for recycling, place in the garbage (smaller items that fit in a garbage bag or can). If the item is too large to fit in a garbage bag or garbage can, schedule a large item pick-up. Acceptable large, rigid household items include: Rigid plastic toys (batteries and metal parts removed) Rigid plastic chairs and tables Rigid plastic children's pools Plastic buckets, pails, boxes and totes
