Place in the garbage.
Paper ice cream cartons contain wet strength laminates that act as a moisture barrier to protect the contents against freezer burn.
This moisture barrier prevents paper ice cream cartons from being recycled or composted.
Place in the Green Bin.
Only paper plates made from 100 per cent paper are accepted in the Green Bin.
Paper plates with a plastic surface or coating are not acceptable in the Green Bin and are to be placed in the garbage.
Place small amounts of thermal paper in the Grey Box.
Place large amounts (i.e. an entire roll of thermal paper) in the garbage.
Large amounts of thermal paper are not accepted in the Grey Box as it will cause problems in the pulping process of recycling the paper.
