Curbside Battery Collection

Niagara residents can place their used batteries at the curb on April 23 - 27, 2018 for collection during their regular collection day.

Residents must live in a single family home or multi-family home with less than six units.

Acceptable Batteries

  • Standard A, AA, AAA, C, D
  • 6V
  • 9V
  • Button Cells (watch batteries, toys, electronics, greeting cards, calculators)
  • Rechargeable battery packs - NiCad, NiMH, or Lithium Ion

Unacceptable Batteries

  • Car batteries (wet lead acid batteries)
  • Leaking batteries

Batteries not accepted in the curbside collection can be dropped off at a household hazardous waste depot.
