PolicyThe Ontario Works Act, 1997 provides the legislative framework for the provision of financial and employment support for people in temporary need.

The policy directives are the interpretations of the laws that govern the Ontario Works program. They are the rules and guidelines that staff must follow when making decisions about your eligibility and benefits.
