Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation - Phase II
All Niagara Region projects

About the Project

The Stamford interceptor trunk sewer is located in Niagara Falls and runs parallel to the Ontario Power Generation hydro canal from Dorchester Road to the Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant at 3450 Stanley Avenue.

Niagara Region's inspection program identified a number of sewers and maintenance holes in the Stamford interceptor trunk sewer that are corroded and in need of rehabilitation.

Phase II of the project includes the rehabilitation of 14 sewer sections and 13 maintenance holes spanning approximately 1,560 metres in length. The section of sewer requiring the work travels parallel to the Ontario Power Generation canal, starting at the Millennium Recreational Trail, approximately 450 metres south of Thorold Stone Road to the Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant.
