The purpose of the study for the Glendale Niagara District Plan is to develop an exciting urban vision for an area that has been identified to accommodate high density, mixed use urban growth.

Through consultation with stakeholders and the public, visioning and background work will be completed as part of the study starting in Spring 2018.
This information will inform the vision for growth, key strategies, appropriate land use designations, and associated policies to guide future development of the lands.
On Oct. 4, 2018, Niagara Region Council endorsed the Vision and Conceptual Development Plan for Phase 1 of the Glendale Niagara District Plan. This sets the stage for the initiation of additional technical work under Phase 2, required to bring the District Plan vision closer to implementation.
