ABBY allows residents living with dementia to access and interact with personalized experiences, memories and activities. Featuring an interactive touch screen and activities that use switches and knobs, residents are presented with experiences that trigger fond memories and allow for improved family visits. Staff wanted to formally thank the volunteers who made it possible to add a second ABBY unit to the Gilmore Lodge long-term care home and celebrate continued innovation within Niagara Region’s Seniors Services.
