Residents celebrate future long-term care home and share fond memories of old mall.
Residents of the Gilmore Lodge Long Term Care Home will be gathering at 2 p.m. Monday Sept. 24 to share memories of the old County Fair Mall and view footage taken from the site, at the beginning stages of demolition, from the early hours of the morning. Councillor Sandy Annunziata will also be present to celebrate with the residents.
WHEN: Monday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m.
WHERE: Gilmore Lodge, 50 Gilmore Rd., Fort Erie
The event takes place in the town square.
WHY: Many of the residents of Gilmore Lodge have a strong attachment to the County Fair Mall and often share fond memories of time spent there throughout their lives. This event gives a chance to reflect and gain closure on some of those memories while also looking forward to the great benefits the new Gilmore Lodge location will have on the community and seniors of Fort Erie.
