Young Parents Develop Through Learning Earning and Parenting

The Learning Earning and Parenting (LEAP) program is celebrating the 2018 graduates with a ceremony at Amici’s in Thorold on June 27. LEAP encourages young parents on social assistance to continue their education while also developing parenting and employment related skills for their future.

Remarks will be provided by Regional Chair Alan Caslin, Commissioner of Community Services Adrienne Jugley and keynote speaker, Tina Durlov of Design for a New Tomorrow.​

In addition, LEAP Program staff will be in attendance.

WHY: 

LEAP helps young people in receipt of social assistance along the path to higher education and improved parenting skills by helping them finish high school and become financially independent.
