- Biosolids Master Plan Review
Biosolids and residuals are solid or semi-solid material obtained from treated wastewater often used as a fertilizer or soil amendment. We studying the management of biosolids and residuals generated by the Region's water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Wainfleet Water and Sewer Project
Municipal water and sewer services do not exist in Wainfleet. Residents rely on well water and septic systems. Regional and Provincial studies identified a significant public health concern and resulted in an Environmental Assessment process to identify possible solutions.
- Chippawa Low Lift Pumping Station Upgrade
Niagara Region has undertaken work with the City of Niagara Falls at Chippawa Low Lift Sewage Pumping Station to construct a combined sewer overflow tank, to mitigate basement flooding occurrences in Chippawa.
We are required to prepare a Water Financial Plan to plan for the long-term funding of our drinking water systems. It represents a current snapshot of Niagara's financial position.
