Check Your Skin

Most skin cancers can be cured if they're caught early enough. Get to know any changes in your skin by examining it often.

  • Birthmarks/moles that change shape, colour, size or surface
  • New growths on your skin
  • Sores that don't heal
  • Patches of skin that bleed, ooze, swell, itch or become red and bumpy

See your doctor if you notice any of the above.

When you check your skin, think ABCDE:

  • Asymmetry
  • Border
  • Colour
  • Diameter
  • Evolution
