Emergency and essential services stream
There are different eligibility requirements for children who need emergency and/or essential care. Eligibility requirements can be found in the Schedule of Dental Services and Fees Guide.
Dental providers can assess clients and help them enrol in the Emergency and Essential Services Stream or refer clients in non-emergency situations by calling the Niagara Region Public Health Dental Health Line at 905-688-8248 or 1-888-505-6074 ext. 7962.
Clients will receive dental coverage for emergency and/or essential services for 12 months from their date of enrolment. They will have to re-apply at the end of 12 months, and will be re-assessed.
