Free Education Money with the Canada Learning Bond

You could get up to $2,000 for your child's Registered Education Savings Plan with a Canada Learning Bond.

This is a Government of Canada contribution to your child's Registered Education Savings Plan. It provides up to $2,000 in savings for the post-secondary education of all eligible children.

You are eligible if:

  • Your child was born in 2004 or later
  • You have ever been eligible for the National Child Benefit Supplement (“family allowance”)
  • You have a Social Insurance Number for yourself and your child

There is no cost and you don’t need to contribute any money.
