Teen Pregnancy Rates

Teen pregnancy rate is the number of pregnancies (live births, stillbirths and therapeutic abortions) per 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 19.

Across Niagara and Ontario, teen pregnancy rates have slightly declined over the past five years.

In 2014, the teen pregnancy rate in Niagara was 21.5 pregnancies per 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 19. Across Ontario, the teen pregnancy rate is slightly lower, with 18.4 pregnancies per 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 19.
